Ethical contracting is the design, negotiation, execution, and management of contracts in a way that is fair, transparent, lawful, and aligned to organisational values, not just commercially aggressive or risk-defensive.
It goes beyond “are we legally covered?” and asks:
Are you paying too much for the products and services you are receiving?
Are the terms balanced and reasonable and in line with established standards?
Does the supplier show up needed to?
Do you feel heard by the supplier?
Is the contract clear, understandable, and honest about obligations?
Do the supplier behaviours reflect commitments to integrity, sustainability, equality, and accountability?

Where did we come from..
Our journey founding CMC and Associates began in the NHS and private healthcare. Through managing tech contracts, we witnessed complexities and ethical gaps when suppliers aren't held accountable.
We saw how healthcare organisations were often locked into terms that didn’t serve them or their patients, fueling our passion for better business practices.
We believe ethical contract management is a necessity for the future of healthcare. Business ethics can be a contractual requirement!
